1. Make effort to understand boss' interests, values, motivations, style of working, objectives on work, and your role.
2. Adapt to your boss working style by being fast paced and methodical like him. Support his strong facets, imbibe his best practices, and working with his preferences is best way to manage your boss.
3. Avoid miscommunication. Approach boss with respect and talk to him in polite but firm tone. Express your genuine desire to make things work better. This will open door to new level of trust, collaboration and outcomes which lead to higher performance.
4. Strike a rapport vertically and horizontally. This way people will give good feedback about you and help in creating a good valuable perception about you in the organization.
5. As a last resort, you may approach HR with all documentary evidences. You need to be constructive in criticism with the objective to resolve the issue and not to worsen it.
