Yes, it is very easy to be an expert of any subject. You just need to do following:
1. Have a burning desire to be an expert. I am repeat this tip by Napolean Hill and other motivators again and again because without desire anything is impossible.
2. Be focussed. Try to be an expert of one subject at a time. Otherwise, you may end up with "Jack of All and Master of None" situation.
3. Start from the very basics of that subject even if you know much about that.
4. Always make notes of whatever you study related to that subject.
5. Be an active member of the blogs and forums related to the subject.
6. Read as many papers on the subject as you can.
7. Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops on the subject.
8. Try to know the biographies and working of the other experts in that field.
9. Discuss your subject with other persons interested in the same.
10. Your effort to be an expert should be well planned - defined, scheduled, monitored, and controlling your progress to cover up any slippages.
Hope this will motivate you for being an expert. Once you have expertise in one subject, you can put above rules on the next subject of your interest and so on...
